About Outside
Outside is a free, noncommercial hobby project maintained by Paul Kumswa to help people discover local events, launching first in Grand Rapids. Outside is an event directory, not an event organizer or ticket seller.
Browsing and optional accounts
Outside is not directed to children under 13. Do not use account features if you are under 13.
You can browse events, use filters, follow source links, and open directions without an account. Down marks, friends, and personal sharing require a Clerk account, acceptance of these Terms, and acknowledgement of the Privacy Policy. You can keep browsing if you choose not to use account features.
Event information and directions
Event times, prices, availability, restrictions, deals, and venue details can change or be incomplete. Confirm important details with the linked source or venue before traveling or purchasing.
Outside does not provide emergency, safety, transportation, legal, financial, medical, or other professional advice. Outside does not calculate travel times or transportation costs. Maps providers handle directions and live trip origins after you leave Outside. Check venue age restrictions and admission conditions yourself.
Accounts and acceptable use
Keep account credentials secure and use account features only for lawful, authorized purposes.
Do not interfere with the service, probe private systems, evade access controls, scrape private data, submit unlawful material, impersonate others, harass users, or misuse invite and sharing features.
Friend links are reusable and may be forwarded. Anyone with a valid link can request a friendship, but a claim does not connect users until the original sender explicitly approves it. Link owners are responsible for reviewing each display name and replacing or disabling a link if it has spread beyond its intended audience.
Sources and third parties
Outside attributes event information to public sources. Source, ticketing, maps, transit, rideshare, micromobility, identity, and other external services operate under their own terms and privacy practices.
Following an external link leaves Outside. Outside does not control third-party availability or transactions.
Corrections, copyright, and feedback
Send event corrections, attribution concerns, copyright or takedown requests, and accessibility feedback topaul.kumswa@gmail.com. Include the affected URL, the requested change, and enough information to evaluate the request.
Feedback may be used to improve Outside without payment or confidentiality obligations unless a separate written agreement says otherwise. Do not submit content you are not authorized to share.
Availability and suspension
Outside may correct, remove, suspend, or discontinue content, accounts, tester access, or service features to address security, compliance, source, abuse, or operational concerns. As a hobby service, Outside may have downtime or stop operating. Contact us to request deletion of your account and its records.
Disclaimers and liability
Outside is provided on an as-is and as-available basis to the extent permitted by law. No warranty is made that listings, routes, prices, deals, or third-party services are accurate, available, or suitable for a particular purpose.
To the extent permitted by law, Outside and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of the service or third-party destinations.
Changes and contact
Material changes should be reflected by an updated effective date before the changed terms apply.
